Easily one of the highlights of my visit to Kyoto. I chose the Kobe beef teppanyaki course and was blown away from start to finish. Every course was beautifully presented, and the quality of the ingredients was exceptional. The Kobe beef itself was extraordinary, with incredible marbling, tenderness, and flavor. Watching the chef prepare the meal right in front of us added another level to the experience. What really stood out was that this wasn’t just a steak dinner. The meal was thoughtfully paced, with creative appetizers, excellent accompaniments, and attention to detail throughout the entire course. The staff was professional, welcoming, and happy to explain the different cuts and the history behind the beef. I’ve eaten great steaks in the United States and around the world, including several wagyu and Kobe beef meals during my trip to Japan, and this was among the most memorable. The restaurant clearly takes pride in sourcing top-quality Kobe beef, and the craftsmanship shows in every dish. If you’re looking for an authentic Kobe beef experience in Kyoto, Kobe Beef Kisshokichi is absolutely worth the visit.
