You really need to have a reservation using the restaurant website, 3+ days in advance to get the experience you want here. We made a Google reservation for lunch the day of (there were plenty of openings), we got there 20 minutes or so after they opened and waited 10 minutes for anyone to greet us (restaurant was completely empty), and we were seated at places with used chopsticks & Silverware, and the grill hadn't been cleaned (all from the night before). We weren't able to order the lunch set (you have to request this in your reservation in advance) and they didn't have any of the cuts from the menu I wanted (need to include that in your reservation in advance too, I guess). The food was all good (especially the garlic fried rice), but overall I was a bit underwhelmed with my Kobe beef experience.
