If you are looking to have Kobe beef while in Kyoto, this place could be for you. The food was prepared in the hibachi style right in front of me, and they kept my steak warm as they moved a few slices to my plate at a time. They also had a few tables that wouldn't get the hibachi experience. It was nice to be able to chat a little with the chef, and he provided direct recommendations on how to pair the food but also helped us make our own seasoning combinations. The appetizer and dessert selections were also excellent for the evening. The restaurant was on a higher floor, which provided great views of Kyoto. If you are planning on coming here, please be prepared to spend upwards of several hundred dollars per person depending on what you order and how much. I get the feeling this place might not be the most economical place to get Kobe at, but I don't regret the visit. Some of the best food I have EVER had!
