Hungry and riding up the elevator to the eighth floor, we were astounded to find the restaurant empty. Luckily, a staff came out shortly and sat us near the windows with a beautiful view of the bridge, river, and forested hills.
Ordering our meats off the menu accompanied by set menu additions of soup, rice, etc. was easy. And we anticipated upcoming meal we treated ourselves for lunch in Kyoto.
The meat presentation, group photo, and soon to be sizzling meat excited us all. Watching Chef Wakana cook in her office a 20/10 star meal of veggies, steaks, and appetizers made a delicious satisfaction of all 5 senses.
Different cuts of lean and fatty at medium rare paired with salt, wasabi, or garlic chips made each bite uniquely sensational. Then the rice, soup, and final bites of Kobe beef left us full and delighted for the rest of the day. And then Chef Wakana finished the meal with a little personalized touch asking us about the rest of our trip for a nice wind down after eating our fill. I would love to come back and share the experience I had at the restaurant.
