I booked this reservation on Tabelog for four people including my three year old son. Tabelog classifies this restaurant as “child friendly” and “preschoolers welcome.” The confirmation stated “Children are not included in the number of guests ordering plans.” However, when we first got to the restaurant they tried to say we had ordered four full meal sets. After I showed them the confirmation they said it was ok to switch to three. When I tried to order a few small sides for my son they said “it is not enough” by which they meant not enough money being spent on him. My son was not hungry and only needed a little food. Their suggestion for my son? The waitress first suggested a 18,000 yen order of Kobe beef calling a “kids menu.” The chef then suggested a 7,000 yen order. At this point I relented. I believe this restaurant is not child friendly and should be transparent on minimum spending for children.
