The food was good, but: 1. The beef portions are tiny (like, 80g per order - for ¥10-40,000!) 2. The beef cuts are hard to understand (at least for me, as a non Japanese speaker with an English menu): “special marbled beef”? “Fillet”? Not filet mignon, just “fillet”… 3. The course meal is padded out with unimpressive appetizers (cold cuts and a cold salad, a couple fried beef ravioli), in equally small portions, and a hearty helping of plain or (for an additional charge) very tasty fried rice 4. Dessert is atrociously bad: a tiny piece of very stale brownie, and a small scoop of generic vanilla ice cream Overall: what about this is worth ¥10-40k per person? Perhaps the small and oddly shaped cuts (a parallelogram of beef?) were indeed fabulous gourmet experiences - they certainly tasted good and the ¥10k one was much chewier than the ¥30k one. But *I don’t know*. What I do know was that the rest of the meal was not, and the relative portioning made it feel like I was being loaded up on cheap carbs so I wouldn’t notice the dearth of steak Biggest red flag? Plenty of open seating, no locals, just tourists
